I've been wanting to see Paddington for quite a long while but couldn't find the moment but yesterday I saw it with my mom and it was charming and cute as heck so naturally I made some fanart. I made him a spectacled bear because although Paddington's design in the movie looked very much like a brown bear and was inspired by a teddy bear Michael Bond saw on a shelf in a London toy shop he was based on a spectacled bear because originally he was gonna be from "Darkest Africa" but his agent told him there are no bears in Africa (other than the extinct Atlas bear and Agriotherium) he went for "Darkest Peru" where spectacled bears are found and recently a leucistic "golden" bear was found in the northern Andes range of Peru and was even nicknamed Paddington by the local villagers (that's pretty cute in and of itself I gotta say).Paddington Bear belongs to Michael Bond, StudioCanal, Heyday Films and TF1 Films Production.

I think it would have been cool if they could have incorporated the spectacled bear into Paddington's look for the film, but I still loved both him and the film nonetheless. And this is super cuteΒ Β
