You know how if a car tries to brake while driving at Hella MPH and totally doesn't brake? That's precisely why this round only just arrived (thanks amazingly for your patience, all).
So, this round started out with choosing one of three concepts I had. The challenge was putting the creatureful world of Pokémon into the creatureless world of Mad Max. The concept here is that this world worships Pokémon as mythological beings. So people craft weapons and vehicles in the likeness of Pokémon, to imbue it with their power.
I just included the 1st generation, to keep things focused. But ended-up with 23 references (not including the trainer) - I'd love to see if someone can spot them all. ;D
The previous Mad Max round was so appropriately explosive. So instead of trying to compete, this round emphasizes the barren aspect - more inspired by the Mad Max game than Fury Road.
It was a blast to do. Hope you all like it.

Or any Pokemon game with a different genre or aesthetic. They’re so varied it would be fun to plug them into various settings and see how they would change things or fit into their new world. I mean, can you imagine what Immortan Joe and his warboyz would do with Pokemon? Or maybe it’s better one doesn’t.

at first glance i thought pikachu makes a great mad max car, but then i realized there is also magnaton pinser dugtrio cuebone omanyte and the weasing furnace is a great touch. So much thought has gone into this AMAZING

So cool to hear you're appreciating the details. I had a few other ideas, like Arbok as a whip with Tauros' three tails on the end, and an angular Porygon-styled plating, but the design was already jam-packed.

Aw yeah - HIGH-FIVE! You've got, like, all of those spot-on. The only four that are off are, Tangela, Golem, Nidoran, and Oddish - but given the stylized presentation, they're arguably alternate correct answers too.

Oh, thanks! Yeah, it's a bit of combination of custom and photo textures. I also put the photos through painterly filter to keep things unified.

Let's see, you have Galvantula as the car body, Weezing on the top end of the staff, Magneton on the other end, Dugtrio as the pistons, the steering wheel he is holding is a pokeball, the ones on his back are a great ball and master ball, the steerling wheel on his leg is an H Unown, the steering wheel above that KIND OF looks like a Klefki, Voltorbs are the exploding stick thingy, the claw from either a Krabby or a Scizor is on the third stick, the back wheel has a swirl that either could be from a Gastly or a Spiritomb, the back wheel cover looks like the skin of a spiky rock type (there are at least six pokemon that fall under the definition), the front wheel has a similar color scheme to the mushrooms on the back of a Paras, and the skull of the front is a spikier version Cubone's mother's skull.

Right on!! Excellent guesses - 66% correct! I didn't even think of Klefki! If this image included Pokés beyond the first generation, Klefki would have been perfect.
