I realised last year that, not counting uncoloured concept art from production drawings of Mega Man 3, there isn't any official artwork of Break Man, who I'd say is a fairly integral part of Mega Man 3's storyline (Y'know? Aside from having a disguise weaker than Mega Man 6's Mr. X.).

So I thought I'd try and give him some close-to-official looking artwork, it gave me an opportunity to experiment with trying to replicate the early, more freeform, art style of Keiji Inafune from Mega Man 3. The lineart is a little rough around the edges, not literally of course, because I was really wrestling with my tablet and my mental health at the time but I don't think I did a bad job.

To give it a bit more "authenticity" I sampled all the colours from Proto Man's artwork from Mega Man 3 the scans of the MM25 artbook, with the title text also being sampled from the same book too. If I had the time and knowledge to achieve the effect, I would have even given it a "scanned page" look to give the impression that the art was scanned directly from a rare copy of MM25.
