Description
After the epic reprisal of the prostitute Mary Jane Kelly, the murders (those that are customarily attributed to the Ripper's account among most researchers) abruptly ceased. It is likely that luck is nothing to do with:

Jack could be arrested for some other crime and end his days in jail, possibly - and on the gallows;
Jack could be a mentally unhealthy person (which is not necessary for serial killers, which are quite often quite sane) and finish his days in a madhouse, without being disclosed, or to commit suicide;
Jack could have died from an advanced sexually transmitted disease, picked up from prostitutes, which, by the way, could be the motive for his atrocities;
Jack could also commit suicide without waiting for the painful death of a venereal disease.
