I've recently been in a bit of a rut. I always feel pretty depressed this time of year.

Yeah, a lot of people (ironically) get depressed this time around, especially because of Valentine's Day (*cough*singles ftw*cough* ) And ugh, I KNOW, right? It sucks being depressed because you wanna stay in bed all day but your stomach's like; 'feed me!' and you're just like; 'dangit, leave me alone, body!'

Well, it's not just Valentines day, but it brings to mind a long history of being alone, having friends betray me, and being treated like I was a freak. I've come to think I'll always be alone, and that I'm simply not like all of those other people who can make "friends" or have more romantic relationships...
So true~ It also happens when I need to use the restroom. >.> It's even worse when it's really cold, but super-comfortable under the covers. xD

Yeah, it does the same thing to me, too. But then I start thinking of all the cons of being with somebody, or having a close relationship with someone who'll just end up making me mad all the time and then I'm usually okay with my predicament >: (

Bleh, you've got a good point.. Sometimes I feel I would rather be sad and alone, than be constantly depressing, upsetting, and disappointing someone else.
Oh my gosh, that video's perfect. xD I've heard all of those! "More or less" (Though I kinda wish that awkward guy was in the video too... You know, the guy from all of the "creepy" videos. Hahah~) I actually think that guy's pretty funny.

I wouldn't think of it that way. I'd flip it around and be more concerned about other people disappointing you. Whenever I see a potential new friend I'm inspecting them for quality like:

I can understand that. But have you sat back and really thought about what it is that makes you so 'undeserving' of others' company? Are there really that many traits that you have that a million other people don't that are so undesirable? Should you let that hold you back from finding someone to connect with? Asking yourself simple questions like these can help, at least they have for me

Haha I know, right? It's just one of those words that look tricky no matter how you spell it!
And oh cool! I don't have a Facebook, but I know a lot of people share their art on there. A lot of people like to use Twitter for that too, but I've heard that Twitter is really strict on fan art so it's mostly original artists on there. If you ever get a Youtube account and post speed drawing videos, though, I'll totally subscribe

I wouldn't dare post videos showing my drawing process... nobody would be able to understand it... Even if it was sped up, it would be minutes of constantly erasing and re-drawing lines, complaining they still don't look right, erasing, and re-drawing them. >.> Nothing to see in any way. <.<

Ah, I get it. I've seen a lot of speed paintings though and even the more seasoned artists are constantly going back and forth between references and erasing mistakes. I really don't think it'd be all that noticeable at x64 speed, but I understand. Personally I'd love to see your sporadic drawing process, but it's cool

But still, normally artists start with something basic, and make something amazing! I just start with nothing, wind up with something basic, and through severe trial and error, get something basic. xD

Yeah, I suppose so. But basic can be just as good as amazing. Sometimes it's the simplicity of things that have the most impact. Like anime. You can make it as simple as Naruto (not that Naruto is that simple, I just couldn't think of anything else) or as mind-blowing as xXxHolic. It really just comes down to your own style and how you do things

xXxHolic is a short manga ('short' in the sense that it only has like 15 or 16 volumes, but they're all packed with insanely high quality art) about this boy that can see ghosts and spirits, and wants nothing but to get rid of his 'gift'. SO, he goes to a local witch (who supports herself as a wish granter) who promises she'll take his gift away if he helps her out around her shop for a while. It's really good and a great read. Like I said, that's perfectly fine at your current stage in art. You'll do that for years to come, mimicking other styles you see and like, but eventually you'll break out of that and develop something all your own

Ugh, I AM SO SORRY I haven't gotten back with you! The days are feeling as if they're only a few hours long lately, it's like I blink and it's two weeks later D:
But anyway, yeah. I love different art styles as well. It's constantly amazing me how many different ways there are to draw something
And wow, really? Hardly any effort? Well geez that's pretty impressive if you ask me! I think your art's great! I suck at anime lately, I think I've been away from it for too long (luckily I have awesome coloring to make up for it)
