You would think that after 20 long years Dr. Robotnik would have had his day with the Sonic crew. But he plays the role of the villain and we all know how that turns out. When i think about Sonic genre, I feel that its been about these three characters, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. But where will the heroes be without the villains and the rivals they face? This is a little retro tribute to some of the foes of the past. I wanted to mix it up a little with the characters by taking some from the movie comics, and games. This one took a very long time to finish. I cant even begin to count how many hours ive spent or how many layers it took to make it look just right. But i wanted the last picture to look good. I wish i could have made a more traditional place but for some reason this setting has been on my mind since the start. Looked at many references to get a good feel for the background. Overall i am glad that i was able to finish this summer project.UPDATE: Thank you everyone for all the comments. I greatly appreciate it!!!

"Welcome Hedgehog, to your death!"
Sonic, his two-tailed companion Tails, and the Emerald guardian Knuckles charged into what appeared to be Eggman's base. What they did not expect was that the room was filled with machines, from Sonic's past, and others that the blue hedgehog did not recognize. The most prominent, was that a floating screen appeared in front of the trio, with the face of a deranged male with a bullet shaped skull, and red soulless eyes. The man wore something that Eggman would wear, but something about this man, he was pure evil, and calculating. Tails reeled in fright, while Knuckles tipped his hat, ready to combat the Badniks before them. Sonic, his glare focused on the cackling man on the floating screen.
"Alright Eggman," Sonic glared. "What's your game?!"
"Eggman," the man chuckled at Sonic's assumption. "I am Doctor Ivo Robotnik, the ruler of all creation, and your death."
This was not the Eggman he knew, the one he fought since Green Hill. This 'Robotnik', had one intention, Sonic's death. But the hedgehog himself stood ready. He did not know where this Robotnik came from, or why he targeted him, all that matters, was he was going to stop this mad man.

amazing work! I can just see the following happening.
sonic and his friends tails and Knuckles rush into the room in an attempt to capture the evil Doctor Robotnic, their mission being to capture him and save princess sally and many captured freedom fighters.
an almost slobbering breath permeates the room as the vial doctor Robotnic appears projected in the room from a robotic eggman floating above, no doubt giving him a birds eye view on the engagement, his voice echoes within the chaimber.
"Welcome hedgehog, to your ultimate Demise!"
machines fill the room as Robotnic cackles madly on the floating screen, enemies from sonic's past which independently he would have no problem with but this time he seems outnumbered, in his mind though he was grinning, he would win this one, with a little help from his friends.

I love this one, classic sonic everything, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 came out the same year I was born and it became my favourite game ever since
