Description HID = How I Draw
01: working on line art...

this one is more on the process of how I treat my pencil drawing...so it has nothing on anatomy, perspective, etc...

I hope it's clear enough...^^a
sorry for the big image (might take a while to load)
any question, please comment!

next one is how I color with Prismacolor colored pencils.

What do you mean by "the edge with space behind it"?

I know...this concept is kind of confusing....XD
another way to explain this is "the line with air behind it"

it's kind of like shading, except you are only thickening the outline.
lines with air behind it simply means the edge of the object that you are drawing.
for example, if you are drawing an opened window, the outer edge of the window (where it meets air) would be thicker than the inside edge of the window (where it meets the wall).

I hope this makes sense...^^lll
but then again, all this is only a matter of style.
although varied line width would help identify edges to the drawn object, some artist do static lines on purpose, and it gives off a different feel to the art work~

oh! that's great!
just to save the 0.3 lead, I do sketches with regular pencil or 0.5 mech. pencils and only use 0.3 to refine...^^
don't worry! take you time! Great works always come from patience and practice...^__^

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!! The dreaded electric eraser xDDDD an almost useless tool unless doing silhouette conceptuals. Micros are good though-useful for fast, fluid drawings. O-) great tutorial; I like the graphic designs surrounding it.

I think the electric eraser is very useful for many things...^__^ it's great for fixing detailed pencil drawings and animation drawings...
Plus, my hand can rest...XD

thanks for the comment~^^
