Didn’t I warn you that this AU was going to be painful? But of course no one listened to me. I DID say that I regretted doing this, but you guys were like “Nooooooo continue it, it’s awesome!” Well I did, so here is your daily dose of emotional pain. There will be more to come~ Because if I am going to hell, I will drag you down with me :’D
Yes it is stoicshipping with bits of blue/mizushipping here and there ofc. That is probably the creepiest expression I have ever drawn on Kaiba. But hey, fangs!

I love this. To quote Engelchenyugi, while I don't see it as a ship, really, I do think it really captures Kaiba's inner struggle and wanting to overcome his past (mainly his step father), but feeling held back by it too.

Also, just to clarify, when I said stoicshipping I meant priest Seto and Kaiba, Not s0 Kaiba and Kaiba.^^ This motherfucker is creepy as fuck XD This is just one of the parts of the AU,-it's mostly symbolic though- even if I have quite a few confrontational scenes with s0 and either Kaiba or Seth. Or Kisara. I am incapable of writing anything Seto related without including my precious bby in after all
I mean, in this AU s0 Kaiba actually hates Kisara(well he hates everyone but you get it XD) This is mostly because he always thought of the BEWD as power, and it doesn't sit well with him that Kisara is actually a gurl that protects Kaiba and Seth. He is also bitter that when he tried to use her against Atem when he cheated, she was like "nope" and vanished. So yeah, while for Kaiba his BEWD is "his pride and his soul" for S0 she is the means to win his challenges.
Also I will probably have a part where she tries to enter kaiba's mind and s0 destroys her, but not really. I mean she is blasted back and Kaiba literally freaks out. I think that she will save him at some point tho. Idk I am still thinking over the details. 'ID

The emotions going on here are deep...and dark. Kaiba's expression is great here in showing the pain he is going through. The background helps give this drawing an even darker feeling. Nice work.

Actually I think this has a rather strong message behind it even not considering your AU story or Stoicshipping. For me I interpret Seto's inner feelings and his conflicts. He has changed a lot during Season Zero and Duel Monsters. He is like a whole new person. Of course the anime and the manga are different but even in the manga he developed a lot during the story. He was going to kill Yuugi and his friends just because of his ego-complex and his wish to be the best. I see Season Zero Kaiba fighting with his newer "normal" self who still remembers what he has done and regrets that he was such an awful person. But there is still some part within him that makes it impossible for him to see the world as it is making it really hard for him to show his emotions. This fanart somehow describes how Seto feels and how much he is fighting with himself at some times. At least, this is what I interpret.
Nonetheless this is some really beautiful art. Your way of colouring and portraying character's is always a pleasure to the eye and I really enjoy seeing your art in my watch. ♥

And this whole comment is is pretty much how it is. You nailed it XD I like to mix up both the anime and the manga when it comes to Kaiba, because his character development is a bit more interesting that way in my opinion.
Yes, because the Kaiba on the left is this Kaiba that put Mokuba in the same machine that sent Yugi's grandpa to the hospital because he lost against Yugi.

You know, I have a theory about what happened in season 0, regarding how Kaiba remembers the events. I was reading the manga and I noticed those little bits here and there.

What strikes me as odd is the way Kaiba talks to Yugi here, not with animosity, but he simply regards him as his rival. That, and what Kaiba says to Jou afterwards "So you were there too? I almost forgot."
of course, that could be him mocking him like he usually does, but then we have this scene.

"Even at my worst..." Considering what he did in Death-T with that chainsaw wielding maniac and the other traps that set for them, this isn't TOO bad.
I have a feeling that he doesn't really remembers what happened during that time. I mean, that's the only way I can explain the drastic change he went from s0 to DM. And the way he started treating Mokuba after this. Aside from the mindcrush ofc. And the lengths he went to rescue his brother after literally waking up from a six month comma are just amazing in my opinion.
