Introducing a new character of mine: Artblock.

Well, I've been dealing with artblock for about 2 years now, and it has been exceptionally frustrating. It's made it really difficult to draw, thus making me miserable. However, I've started to learn that this is just something I'm going to have to deal with. Artblock is never going to go away. Sure, it might let up for a little while, but it'll always come back. What's important is learning to work through artblock, and manage it.

So, I decided that personifying it would make it easier for me to work with. Instead of seeing it as some unmovable force, I made it something a bit more persuasive. People can be stubborn, but they can be negotiated with. Thus, Artblock seems less intimidating, because I can actually reason with it. It's not so intimidating when I imagine it as some crabby art-hating weirdo!

Anyways, Artblock is a very persistent guy, and has almost got con man demeanor. He's the type of guy who will walk up to you and pretend you've been best friends for years. Then, he'll crash on your couch and eat all your food all while calling you sweet petnames in a condescending tone. Awful. >:T

Good luck trying to get rid of him! Artblock's seriously stubborn, and he's not going to do anything for your benefit unless you've got something worthwhile to offer him. Like I said, he's negotiable.

He usually tries to distract you or shame your art. He has fun picking on people and enjoys getting a reaction out of them. I'd like to imagine he'll let a few things slip by, and drawings of him are one of them. He's incredibly egotistical. He'll still bug you about all the things that look wrong, though.

So, anyway! Here's this awful trash block I have created. He's the worst. Still, he's actually kind of helping me get back into drawing so there's a chance you might see more of him! Usually it'll be doodles of him interacting with my sona, and generally being a butt nugget.
