Description The MMD community can now rejoice because we now have an Optimus Prime model.

True, it's not like the one from that awesome video from Nico Douga where the G1 Transformers dance to Micheal Jackson's Thriller as respect for his passing, but at least we got SOMETHING.

After getting the model, I got this idea stuck in my head.

What's going in the panels:
Panel 1 - Optimus: Soundwave, how do you think this is gonna go down?

The last 2 panels pretty tell you without me talking about it.

MMD Credits:
Model: WFC Optimus Prime by Valforwing, rigged by Aiko-harumi

Hope you guys like the pic.

PS: Yes, I did make that sign that Soundwave is holding in MS Paint.

The "WFC Optimus Prime" DL page is none-existant... :/ Helo?

Looks like Aiko-harumi closed her account and NO, I won't reupload the model. Since I can't contact her to ask, I won't & besides, it was probably in her rules to not reupload the model anyway.

oh for the love of, it was ripped from A GAME and rigged by her, it wasn't made by her to begin with... lemme grab the same model and rig it myself then i'll share it, what kind of mentality is that... like rigging is that hard.

people not sharing is not because they care for the maker, its because they wanted an EXCLUSIVE model that no one else has.

This coming from a guy with only two things in your downloads folder (I see you are hoarding a bunch of other models yourself too) and one of them is FNAF related... Look, I hate not being able to get the model I want as much as the next guy and I think this community is far too stingy myself but at least I try my best to not be an ass about it. It's hard but I manage.

one, i'm a woman, and two, i'm not releasing all the models i use because they are filled to the brim with errors... once they get all fixed i'll share every last one of them, on the other hand, i don't think i sounded that aggressive, i just said what i was thinking, hoarding models?, most of my faves haven't been downloaded yet, some i just put there as inspiration of what to do next, some don't even have a download link to begin with, the mmd models you see on my page were made by me, except for the tauren, that was made by blizzard, ripped by valforwing and rigged by me.

You claim it's easy, yet you're clearly struggling to do it right? I'm sorry, what?

You know, rigging a model in PMDeditor is one of two of my biggest failures at following a tutorial, alongside making a vector image in Adobe Illustrator. I followed the instructions perfectly but when I put the bones in but they didn't register as the model's skeleton. Now if you're such an expert, then please, tell me what exactly it was that I did wrong.

i was saying that rigging the model is easier than extracting it from the game, i had to use a good amount of tools to make a model into an .x so i could rig it, first extracting everything with one, converting the .rips into .obj, assembling them in blender (normally 500+ bits and pieces) then i can turn them into an .x, resize them to a regular size, adding the bones and physics and then and only then, start rigging the model, yeah, i said rigging is easier, but only because i know how hard it is to extract the models to begin with.

So you're saying that it's only comparatively easy and not actually easy... >.> Sounds like backpedaling to me.

Actually YES, rigging models & converting stages is VERY hard.

You have to try multiple times to get the rigging just right. Hell, to this day, I still have trouble rigging the damn fingers of any model I rig up.

The reason we also credit the game creators is because we give respect to them for rigging the originals to begin with. Not to mention there are users out there who never credit the model riggers & take credit for the entire thing hence why I always ask for people to send me a note to get the models I rig up. I haven't been able to do that lately due to a little thing called GETTING KICKED OUT OF MY DAMN HOUSE.

Just look at any of the Kamen Rider rigs I did before I got the PS4 models, all of them were ripped by my friends that they gave me to rig up.

Also, the "So much for Sharing is Caring" thing? Aren't you worried someone's gonna come along, download the models you make like Chibi Cinder Fall & such, and reupload them to their account, removing all credit to you? You would get pissed too if you asked them to take that model down but they don't listen to you.

I never said anything about crediting, I was saying that she just used the model ripped and rigged it, did that means people cannot share it now?, i was saying i would grab the same model from , rig it and share it for everyone to enjoy, might even give it to for him to share it, i would of course give credits to the creators of the model/the programmers of the game or the company and of course to the ripper of the model, they did the heavy lifting, i just made it move for mmd and shared it for everyone to enjoy.

huh-wha?, nope, once i release a model i stop caring about what happens to it, i give credits to the creators of the parts or bases, i just assembled a jigzaw puzzle giving it a desired shape, being given credit has become irrelevant to me, sure, i give all the credit where credit is due, but i don't care if people forget about mentioning me, i know my models will just be hoarded and forgotten on a external HD or something, no one has told me they used my models yet, so why bother?

I care about the models I work on because I had to teach MYSELF to rig the models on my own.

Hell, for a time, the Kamen Rider models I was rigging up were actually being used on NicoNicoDouga & even THEY credited me half the time for the original downloads of the models along with linking back to my DeviantArt/And I'm not making that up BTW.

In fact - Here's 2 journals of mine noticing them:
Link 1: Getting noticed on NicoNicoDouga somewhat
Link 2: Getting noticed on NicoNicoDouga - Part 2!

Of course THEY are going to credit you. The Japanese MMD community is super strict about these kinds of things, on a scale way higher than DA's.

"Sharing is caring"

Not when it's someone else's model, it's not.

Yes, you were sharing the model, but you are also taking page views from the original creators. Most of the time people believe that uploading someone else's work and giving credit is enough, but to be honest, it isn't. Most people when they look at these kinds of posts just want the file, and don't care about supporting the original creator, so linking back to it wouldn't suffice. This is why torrents and illegally downloading movies is so popular nowadays, people just want to get the files, in as little time as possible, without spending money, and don't care about supporting the original creators, they just want to get their file and for that to be done with. So giving someone credit after reuploading their work without their permission would be like some movie company taking another movie companies movie, putting it on the market at a lower price and more convenient distribution than the original and making a profit from it, but just giving them credit in the ads without permission, and thinking that's enough. In the end, that company is taking revenue from that other company.
