What did you do to the colors to make them look so 'vintage'

It would be rather difficult to get those tones with a digital camera...

But you couldn't have just desaturated it in Photoshop, right?

Indeed.
And no, colored layers and blending modes. Also, there are no true/solid blacks, which helps with the "bleached" look in a way. I like the look of it, but it's very common on here, so it's a love/hate thing...

I really like the angle you've taken this from as well as the lighting. the blue of the converse is just right so that it fits nicely with the background colours.
