Description This is a portrait I was working on.  I used natural charcoal on Strathmore Drawing 9 x 12 inch paper.  This is my third attempt at drawing this person.  Overall, I'm fairly happy with how it turned out.  I feel at a glimpse it does look like who it is supposed to and that's about it.  Hope everyone else enjoys this as well.

Awesome job lady. I definately find the biggest hurdle when drawing people, is capturing the eyes.. blarg.

Thanks!  Yes, the eyes are definitely hard to get.  They can make or break the picture for sure.  But once you get them it's a sweet victory cause everything else (Whether 100% accurate or not) looks just fine after that haha. I find it's good practice to draw portraits every now and then cause I tend to narrow people's faces down too much, so it brings me back to reality about just how wide a human head is.
