Ah closed species means that you can't make oc belonging to the species without permission - usually through of myo (make your own) ticket that species' creator sells. Other way to get them are adopts and customs. Example species of this form; Kipitins, Xynthiis, Lockettes, Dextrolumas, Booze Sharks, yata yata yata

Then there is open species that are original species that you can do without myos. Example species; Nommers

And semi-closed/semi-open which means you usually can make common traited oc of the species but need to buy myo ticket for more rare traits. Exsample species; Unifoxes, Octanessions

Wow, that was a lot!!   So it means you can create an adopts and customs with your own species but people can't steal the ideas of yours species without myo ticket? That was so cool!!!

Well basically yes, but you have to notify that traits aren't closed, for example xynthiis got popular because of the tootheyes they have but now there is several species with that trait. Some people are fine with that but jezus some people likes to make drama out of it by going "thIS IS RIP OFF OMG!!1!!!1!!" although tootheyes weren't that original, there has been a lot of tootheye things on internet before xynthiis. But genereally yes, if your idea is original enough it's impossible to copy it more than for traits here and there to other species uvu

Kemonomimis aren't really any of these, they are muuuch older than original species on DeviantArt there for no one can really claim the idea as theirs, but there is quite few kemonomimi featured original species but of course they always have something to make them specieal

So for an example: if I wanted to make Kemonomimis as some sort of my original species, I need to create unique/special stories for them and name it with my own created name instead of Kemonomimis? :/

I thought it would be easy for creating them as an original species -sob- //inspired adoptable artist even more after this uvu/
Is it still legal if I just simply draw it out without related with any closed species? Like drawing some ears up here and there :3

I know omg and creating isn't even the hardest part, making lore, getting people notice it and all that follows up right away

And ofc, if you want to make adoptables, they don't need to be any species and they can be more special than just normal kemonomimis
For example Prim has roses growing inside her bunny ears ;v; My baby panda kemonomimi Sena has heart shaped puffs and Meimei is hybrid between elf and devil but none of them belongs to any species

Yup I totally agree with you, especially you need to make them special and stand out with any other adopt's species in dA
