Description 2001
I carved the lines into a bowl.

Approximately 30%-40% was done with a magnifying glass and the sun. The remainder was done with a wood burning tool.

This was do to fear of failure. It's much easier to wield a tool that you hold like a pencil. and the fact that seasons change and had. if there are clouds, it is really hard to burn wood with a magnifying glass.

anyway,
i used to like it quite a bit, now i am a little indifferent.
It looks better in Real D.

hope you enjoy.

I love it! I liked the idea of burning a design into a bowl/ dish, but then I read the description; I had never even thought of burning an image into a bowl/ dish with a magnifying glass in the sun! That's amazing! Utilizing your natural rescources. But yes, a burning tool would be much easier-ha ha

WOW, Now I want to learn wood-burning.
I work at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. I have a bowl I use every day out there... I think it would be cool to have something similar to use.
I am wondering if that could be sealed (and still look great) so it could be used?
I have a lot to learn!

This is truly inspiring!

I see voluptuous and sensual forms. Like the curves of women layered upon themselves. I see breasts and thighs.
Perhaps the bowel makes you see what you want to see
