Description Full View for details would be very appreciated, and sorry for the watermark, but this character isn’t mine, but of Jan, an amazing story writer!

Tiaiacans, land with no oceans, well… If there are flying ships, clouds are islands and woods are oceans lol. They are Air Pirates, they are unique in their own way, and that make them especial. Their flying ship is named Rosa dels Vents (Wind Compass for English-language folks ) and they just fly. On a world ruled by a cruel empire where water is more valuable than gold, the only thing these pirates want is peace. They travel in long distances only for the taste of freedom, no attachments to nothing, only joy and friendship among the crew. It might be too utopian for some of you but I prefer to think that even in this world you can be free like the wind, free like the crew of the Rosa dels Vents… And among the crew, there’s a peculiar traveller: grey skinned lad and muscled. His gaze? Serene and peaceful, but deep. You see his skin and isn’t clean; is filled with scars, because in his way of thinking, he must protect the meek. Dressed with rags that once were fine clothes there’s…WTF? And all those cats? CASIAN! Oh well, he’s Casian, Lonely wolf of the Wind. Trust him, but don’t disappoint him. He might punch your face if you fail him! This deviation, in fact, is a birthday gift for Adrià, a friend that represents in Jan’s story as Casian.

And who knows if Jan, with some little help will have a Deviant ART account, again... XD

Drawn and painted with/on:
Inked with my fabulous deep pen;
My Always beloved and trusty Caran D'Ache water-soluble colour pencils (normal and metallic effect), and Alpino colour pencils, there’s some colours that I like to use;
Adrià’s scanner is my saviour, the colours are almost exactly as the original!
Canson C à Grain 180 g/m2 (80 lbs) notebook!!!! Sooo gentle paper…
Rotring pencil-holder, I think it’s my Muse…

Constructive critic very appreciated my dears, I need to improve! But also tell me what did you liked from the piece!

I think it looks great the way it is. His tattoos are awesome (are they tattoos?)

The little kitties are cute, especially the one by his foot.

I'm trying to find something to nitpick. I can't. This is an excellent drawing. I like the look on his face, and the small "cat things" in his pocket.

LOL Thank you for the comment! And the cat things in his pocket are cats, but I don't have a great mastery to draw detailed things that are too small.

My favorite birthday gift ever! ^^
I love everything you did with it, and even though I already told you all this IRL, I will just do it again!
I love the antennae/bangs you added to his haircut, and the bandages were also a huge shock. What you made, making a part of them be free and blow with the wind was great, and that they are so thick gives a feeling of calm here, since most of them time, bandages look so aggressive and violent. The tattoo's are incredibly well done, even if the ones he has under his left eye are slightly different, and I love their design. The one in his chest, besides, doesn't look only like a mask, but also kind of like a wolf's head, so his nickname goes perfectly with it ^^
I really didn't know how his boots could look like, even though I knew I wanted him to wear boots, the design you picked is great! I wouldn't like to get kicked with those!
Cassian's stance is great. Even the slightest details make it an incredible fighting stance. I love how his right hand, clenched into a fist, is slightly curved inwards. It adds so much tension to his stance, which, despite that, looks so relaxed due to the discipline that Cassian seems to have.
The coloring is great, there aren't big contrasts. Jan and I talked about it, and we thought that that, along with the serenity that Cassian seems to transmit, fused with his unbendable determination, reminds us of those Japanese drawings that represent the seasons of the year. Cassian looks like a true martial artist here! And his poncho and bandages, and the leaves of the ground, blowing gently with the wind, give it a very nice touch, it's a picture that hypnotizes you! Though its digitalized version pales next to the original, which is under my power!!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I am really glad that you didn't draw Cassian's rifle in this one, actually. It would have broken this great composition, its color scheme, its serenity and discipline...
I have never ever liked a drawing as much as this one, but of course, you already knew that ^^
THANKS A LOT!!!
