Mkay, I've been working on this for a little over a year or so now- finally finishing it for my brother's Christmas present this year.The reference was some Victoria Secret magazine cover that I found to me interesting. I edited it slightly before drawing it. In the sketch and near finished stages of this the colors were more pastelish. I decided to enhance the levels some bits and this is what you get.

One of, if not your best work to date on DA.
As I have come to know your work, I have come to notice that your works generally could be much better with smoother shading, be it on pencil or paintjob. Sometimes, well a lot of times, this rough texture does actually add to your compositions, however sometimes, they really do detract from your pieces (especially in actual size or full view). In this piece her face is quite rough even in 'Small View' - The smudge tool on a low setting in Photoshop could help.
But overall a fantastic piece, well done.

as i said, this piece was started a year ago. when it began, i was experimenting with a painterly style, as opposed to my usual smooth shading. it was honestly very hard to keep up with this style, especially around october this year (almost a year after i started this). the reason i didnt smooth it out was because it was a present for my bro who liked the rough style it is in.
that being said, i understand you completely. ill post my other christmas present i did for my cousin extremely shortly which i think you will like very much- as it is extremely smooth.
