Zazu's point of view:

Zazu was really relieved when he spotted the huge Imperials stable grounds from the distance. The month had been great fun but he sure missed a warm bed sometimes, or not-saddle-y objects to spend a day on, ... OF COURSE he could have gone along for MONTHS still ppffss but. nnnaahh, the trail had been challenging enough actually, riighhht? (He'd never admit how exhausted he really was, nope.)
He was also really looking forward to the end for a couple more reasons. One, because he knew it was probably impossible to set a foot on Imperials without meeting family xD (and he loves family, yes) Two, his hopes still hadn't died that there was a small chance a special secret someone could be helping out, too. Even if it was almost ridiculous and he reminded himself how foolish it was, but he lately noticed his thoughts drifting off a little too often to that special someone to be called healthy.

He had just gotten his mass of a horse some hay and a couple of pats and treats and was just about to go look around the area if anyone else could need his help when his eye spotted out of its corner something red approaching. The hopes which would have almost faded were fulfilled in the end. He greeted her with a warm smile and tiny bit surprise in his face, very delighted to see her. Shinto!

Apart from the general awkwardness Zazu loved talking to her of course. After talking about the finished trail and having reached the finish line and a few times of getting lost in her gaze, she asked him about his plans for the near future so they started talking about the upcoming Obertaurer Conference and Show in Tibet where Zazu planned to take part in Dressage. Sneakily he asked iiif there was a chance to see her there too, maybe even on horseback? He'd surely love to watch her ride a horse, flying over the obstacles with those badass show jumping Obertaurers they had to offer, oh yes! And of course it was a great excuse to meet her soon again. heh.
