Description
Super early (six months) birthday gift for my best buddy of his four characters as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from Darksiders. I got the idea last week and couldn't wait to get started and it wouldn't be fair to make Zac wait six more months with all the teasing I've done :3 If I know him - and I do pretty well - I know he will geek out over this.
Jack the Dingo as Strife
Axel the Bandicoot as War
Vesper Bat as Fury
TAU as Death
Axel was War from the beginning since Axel's the most aggressive of the cast and I associate aggression and violence with War. Vesper was Fury since they are the only females. TAU and Jack could have gone either way, but once I drew TAU as Death, I noticed he had such a similar hairstyle to Death, which made it even more awesome. Plus Jack turned out badass as Strife.

Strife and Fury aren't real horseman, Darksiders took out two actual horsemen Pestilence and Famine. Still a pretty cool drawing

Well from a person who has never played Darksiders and knows nothing about it...I like it. The costumes look cool and make the characters look badass. Honestly, I would not have guessed that was Jack unless you mentioned his name. That mask and everything. They in a way...look like dark super heroes. XD

Lol, it's a great game, I recommend it! Yeah Jack's mask is actually my favorite part about him as Strife. And in a sense, the Horsemen are like "dark super heroes". X3

Wasn't the names of the four horseman in mythology originally Death, War, Famine, and Pestilence?

In the Bible, the rider of the white horse is originally Conquest, but Pestilence replaces Conquest most often in pop culture. Darksiders is an adaptation of that, taking Strife and Fury as Pestilence/Conquest and Famine.

I don't know. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are originally a concept in the Christian Bible. They are described in the last book of the New Testament. This can easily be found on the wiki page: [link]

I love them all, this is one of this situations where I just can't have one favourite X3 , The amount of teasing that was going on was kinda both ways, you resisting the urge to show me a preview and everything XD
Jack and TAU definitely could've gone both ways but TAU as Death just has a humours feeling towards it and Jack is just such a badass as Strife, all that extra fluff too XD. Axel I have always pictured as War since he is straight up aggressive and headstrong and Vesper being the only female in the group would definitely be Fury, I always kinda pictured her in an outfit similar to Fury at some stage in her life and I guess this is it XD.
This is just so awesome and I definitely shall be keeping this around for a long, long, long, long, long time XD.

I really love Strife's actual design, you incorporated it well into Jack. Those pistols.
Vesper just looks, my god....Great. Her wispy hair, and that ethereal whip behind her.
This all just looks beautiful, the colors and all.
