As you can expect, once I get into something, I drag Dingo-Sniper along with me for the crazy ride! I'm sure Dingo would have gotten to it eventually, but he's been super busy with schoolwork lately and since I am working on a big group ensemble, we figured it was probably best that I take care of him XD

D'Artagnan LaPorte is a student at Francois Dupont College in the same grade as Diane Dubrosse, on whom he has a huge crush. As a child, D'Art once stumbled upon the earring Bat Miraculous in his family's attic, however, nothing happened at the time. Unfortunately, young D'Art lost his vision in a tragic accident. In response to this, his parents moved them out to the countryside, believing it would be an easier environment for him to adjust to. D'Art eventually learned to cope with his blindness and developed into a far more outgoing and energetic individual. In his mind, the loss of his sight is all the more reason for him to live his life to the fullest as much as he can. As part of this, D'Art wanted to move back to the city, where there were more people and more things happening. His parents, though extremely overprotective and concerned for him, finally agreed to move back to the city at his request. While going through his things, D'Art once again stumbled upon the Bat Miraculous. However, this time, the kwami Ekko emerged.

Ekko is the kwami linked to the Bat Miraculous who transforms the wearer into the bat-themed superhero, Batwing. Though she is blind, she can see the glow of life auras via Spectral Sight. Other kwamis and those transformed by them have a brighter glow than others and she can also see the dark aura of akumas and what object they've entered. Even if her chosen partner can see normally, they will be forced to adopt Spectral Sight following the transformation. Because those who could see normally had difficulty adapting to it, Ekko now only chooses partners that are blind. She is lazy, arrogant and exhibits a laissez-faire attitude about most things. She usually bosses and orders D'Art around, though he doesn't mind since she is the only one in his life not treating him with special care because of his blindness. Her favorite food is fruit, in particular berries and apples.

After moving to Paris, D'Art began attending Francois Dupont College. Despite his eagerness to make friends, many of his classmates avoided him due to the fact that they were unsure of how to act around him and afraid of offending him. This was exacerbated by D'Art's tendency to joke about his own blindness, which only made others awkward. Even the teachers treated him specially, which he did not like, prompting him to purposely talk back and act up in class just to get the teachers to yell at him and treat him like any other student. He hates being viewed as fragile and helpless and despite his efforts to prove otherwise, a blind boy in need of help is all anyone seems to be able to see. This is particularly troublesome for him as he tries to court Diane, who is left awkward by his flirts and jokes and doesn't even realize he is flirting with her.

As Batwing, D'Art still acts the same as he normally is: outgoing, flirtatious and cracking jokes. However, people seem to be more receptive to Batwing than D'Art. When transformed, D'Art gains Ekko's Spectral Sight and also gains super hearing and the ability to glide. His signature weapons are twin boomerangs that always return to him and his special power is Swarm, which allows him to create duplicates of himself.
