Daw, this is a cute pic and cute ship, even if I'm more inclined to think of Deon as Chappie's "true" father. I mean, I can understand where the filmmakers were going by making "the parents" and the "creator" as separate entities in Chappie's life. But even so, with Deon being the one who frikking MADE Chappie and Yolandi being the one who taught him stuff about things like life, death, familial love and afterlife, there's really no way one can consider Ninja to be Chappie's father figure AT ALL. Especially when he was such a violent and selfish, asshole character for the most part of the movie.
Now, I do know that Yolandi and Ninja used their actual, IRL stage names they have in their real band, Die Antwoord en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Antwβ¦
Therefore liking Yolandi's character and strongly disliking Ninja's in this movie feels a bit awkward
