Description
I'm not really sure what kind of poem this is. I'm not really a poet, but I like using words to describe feelings and emotions, and convey messages if I can. So, I had drawn this image a while back, and it's been sitting in my flash drive, idle. FOR WEEKS. But today I pulled it out and just let some words flow. I don't know. Maybe it will mean something to someone else, too.

I use a free (safe and legal) software called FireAlpaca. I use that, and GIMP (another free, safe, and legal program). Together, they work really well!

This poem has me in tears.Β I've been struggling with depression and PTSD for several years which lead me to the hospital for a suicide attempt recently.Β This poem captures what it means to fight everyday for a glimpse of light when nobody sees you suffering day in and day out.Β I enjoy your artwork and stories, and a lot of times it helps me get through my day.Β Never stop doing these artworks.

I am so sorry you have been struggling with stuff like that. I'm so sorry that things got bad enough that you felt suicide was a way out. I am, however, very glad you are hear today. I don't know you, but I understand the pure indescribable pain that can come with PTSD. I too have been struggling with that, though I don't think to nearly that degree, and I hope I never get there. But I can use my experience, however small, in that area to do my best to encourage you. I don't know what you're dealing with, what has taken you to where you are now, but there IS hope. There IS a future, and there are brighter days ahead. Don't be afraid to reach out. It's what I'm slowly learning to do myself, so I can't say that it's easy.Β
But your life is worth more than any jewel, or gem, or...anything really! It's harder to see your own worth through your own eyes, but there are those out there who think you're worth the world, and I'll gladly be one of them. If ever you need anything, feel free to private message me, or anyone else you trust. We care, a LOT.

Haha! XD Well, I suppose it's how you look at things. On the one side, it could sound very familiar and depressing, but on the other side it could be a message of encouragement and hope. Kind of like a 'glass half full or half empty' sort of thing.
