Thanks a lot! its not too hard, I was just studying how it looks from some night photography to try and capture the shape, shading and lighting.
I also saw your last milky way piece it looks great and you have beautiful trees below! I got some inspiration from I it too.

Thanks a lot for your positive reaction! I got inspired by a number of night photographs and kind of put them together into something I would have liked to see.
What's different from many milky way paintings is that I went into full nerd-mode and tried my best to paint the shape of the milky way cloud and lights as accurately as possible.
I did redo the painting and removed the exaggerated twinkles of some stars - you can check out the newer version. I am also planning to add some highlights in the landscape foreground as it is a little strange that its all black in such a bright nightsky...
But once again thanks so much for your commend, it really made my day when I saw it
