I noticed your comment saying you draw them by hand every time you draw this character. Maybe you could make a high resolution or vector file of just the tattoos then you would only have to place and manipulate each time you draw him.
Vector would be best for this since it can be scaled and manipulated without losing quality. I have all my characters (and BFs) tattoos in each of their own vector files for this reason.
(Sorry if this is unwanted advice just thought I'd share my approach at avoiding that problem)

nah its alright ! i just line with a binary tool + smaller canvases so i dont think it'd look too good, or else i would probably try and figure out how to do that kind of thing

You're welcome. I used to draw my characters tattoos every time but they're so simple I finally just made a brush out of them to save myself the frustration

oh yeah, ive considered doing that but part of me enjoys drawing them by hand as well, kind of relaxing. plus i dont think it would look good with pixel lines rip

Yeah if you don't make the brush gigantic it'll be pixelate when you try to make it bigger
