The Regulatory Council Of Alizthea's Essentialists (RCAE) was established as an agreement made between all the nations right after signing the Alizthea Accords in the current calendar year 1 A.A. This council is composed of representatives from every nation and its main purpose when established was to control at the nations that were amassing large numbers of essentialists in their ranks for military purposes under the excuse of using them to control essence beasts rampages. At the time of its founding, the council barely had any ability to implement the regulations agreed upon by the accords. As the years went on the RCAE barely had the power to implement its regulations besides verbally admonishing the individuals or nations that were stamping over the accords.

A few decades after the cataclysm nations were beginning to forget the repercussions of the cataclysm and how the world almost ended for using Essence users for military purposes, but a tenuous peace was always reached whenever a conflict was going to arise so nothing big ever happened.

All of this changed around the year 240 A.A. when an unimportant geologist and metallurgist were doing research about geological patterns at the mines of Dracoveil. The mines were an interesting archeological location since many civilizations have laid claims to them during the last few thousand's of years and the particular climate of the area allowed for different minerals to be developed in its caverns.

The combination of this unlikely duo had incredible repercussions in the political climate of the rest of the world and they did not even know it at the time. Burke Radmir, The geologist, just wanted to study the particular pattern of the Dracoveil mines. Carl Douglas, the metallurgist, wanted to discover a new alloy that could put his name on the world stage, this meant that their synergy was particularly great for their great discovery.

At some point, Mr. Radmir brought samples of different minerals and among those minerals there was Arcanite. Yes, you all have heard that mineral by now, but back then no one knew what it was. Thus Mr. Douglas started to experiment with mixing Arcanite with a variety of different minerals and after several experiments, he was able to discover the alloy that we have named Arcanium, which is able to suppress the abilities of essentialists.

Knowing about the possible repercussions of his discovery he started contacting the RCAE about his discovery and they were able to quickly use it to put a reign on the many essentialist in the world that were causing harm.

A couple of years later the initial stages of the Prison System of Alizthea regulated by the RCAE which was used to control rogue essentialists was created.
