Description

Sakura felt the heavy manacles as they were fastened behind her back they were made of some heavy material and she could feel the engravings on them that were designed to suppress her magecraft skills, then one of the agents grabbed her and escorted her outside by pulling on her arm.

The day was sunny and beautiful, but her disposition was not the same. She could see how the neighbors were outside doing their things, but none of them reacted to her being taken out of the house with her hands behind her back it was as if it wasn't even happening. Then it clicked on her there must be some sort of barrier or other thing obfuscating what was going on. She was led to the back of a black car and when they shut the door with the tinted windows saw how the darkness enveloped her once again, similar to her experiences all those years ago in that basement, memories that she wished she could completely forget.

After being transported for around 30 minutes she was led into a non-descriptive concrete room with a table. Then the agent uncuffed one of her hands from the back to her relief and cuffed her in the front.

The soreness in her shoulders for being in that uncomfortable position was unreal.

"What's going to happen to me now?" Sakura asked one of the guards as he attached the chain of her manacles to a ring on the table in front of her.

"The regional prosecutor will have a chat with you to ask you some questions afterward we are going to the mage tower prison in London" the officer that brought her here said as if it was a done deal.

Sakura was startled at that, until that moment she thought they were only going to ask some questions and she would be let go, but it seems as if her fate had already been decided.

"But you said that they were only going to ask some questions, what is going on?"

"Whoops I slipped up, well its better for you to hear it from the boss, now wait here"

Sakura waited in that room for what felt like forever, the air was stifling and there was nothing to do except feel the cold steel of the manacles in her wrists which were already painfully red due to the way that they were fastened when transported here. Then suddenly she heard the grinding sound of the metal door opening and a man in a black suit entered.

"Ms. Matou correct?" he asked as if he didn't already know who she was.

"Yes, could you please tell me what is going on? Why was I brought here? The Matou family might not be at its prime but the mage association should not be able to interfere in a local manner like the grail war" Sakura said with as much nobility she could put in her tone, but for the effect that it had on the man she might as well have been speaking to a wall.

"Ms . Matou we have plenty of witnesses and conclusive evidence that you as one of the summoners from last year's holy grail war attacked dozens if not hundreds of civilian non-magic users. That is a serious offense and the mage association has the power to arrest and process rogue mages that abuse their powers. This is not an interrogation, but an arrest since you know what you did. Tonight you will be teleported to the mage association facility in London where you will await your trial. There is nothing more to be said, may god has blessings on your soul" he said that and promptly thereafter left the room.

Sakura had thought that the darkness in her life was gone after Senpai lifted the curse of the holy grail fragment from her soul, but apparently, she had been wrong. Life has always been dark cloud for her with brief glimpses of light between more intense darkness and it seems like the respite she had been experiencing for the past year was completed and a deep darkness awaited her.
