NWR year 1965
Every since the year 1948 two yellow tank engines were bought to help with the new constructed Wellsworth clay pits two of those engines are named Billy and Benjamin but they are called Bill and Ben for short they are twins each of them had four wheels a tiny chimney and domes and small squat cabs they lived in clay pits for many years and the clay pit are near brendom docks at the end of Edward’s branchline both of them are hardworking and often work together however like most tank engines they can be Cheeky and Mischievous often play tricks on the bigger engines and crew but sometimes there tricks and can get them into trouble they are always kept busy pushing truck at they dock and have great fun there and they often carry trucks that are filled to the brim with china clay that was dug from the nearby hills china clay is important it is used pottery paper paint and many other things one day in the year 1965 they were pushing some troublesome trucks was went away for more but when they returned they were surprised to find them all gone their drivers examined a patch of oil while wiping the rails clean ne of them said
Bill’s driver: that’s a diesel
Bill:it’s a what el
Ben: A Diseasel I think there’s a notice about them in our shed
Bill: I remembered coughs and sneezels spread Diseasels
Ben: you had a cough in your smokebox yesterday
Bill: but fireman cleared it didn’t he?
Ben: yes but the dust made him sneezle so there you are it’s your fault the Diseasel came and took our trucks
Bill: it isn’t
Ben:it is
Their drivers and firemen laughed
Ben’s fireman: stopped arguing you two come on let’s go and rescue our trucks
Bill and Ben were horrified
Ben: but what if the Diseasel magic us away like the truck
Their drivers laughed
Bill’s driver: it won’t magic us we most likely magic it away listen it doesn’t know your twins so we’ll take away your names and number and then this is what we’ll do
Bill and Ben chuckled with delight
Both: COME ON LETS GO
Creeping into Edward’s yard they found the diesel withe the missing truck Ben hide behind but Bill went boldly along side and stood facing the diesel on the points leading to the mainline the diesel looked up
BoCoo you mind
Bill: yes I do I want my trucks please
BoCo: sorry but you must be mistaken these truck are mined so buzz off you little bee
Bill pretend to be frightened
Bill: (whimpering) you a big bully you’ll be sorry
He ran over the points ran back and hide behind the trucks on the other side now Ben came forward and the diesel had to stop suddenly
BoCo: what the but how did you
Ben: truck stealer
Saying this Ben ran away two the Bill took his place this went on and on until finally the diesel’s eyes nearly popped out
BoCo:STOP JUST STOP YOUR DRIVING ME BONKERS
As the diesel’s vision cleared he gazed at both Bill and Ben
BoCo:are there two of you
Both:Yes were twins
BoCo: (groaning) I might have known it
After hearing the commotion Edward came up with some trucks
Edward: Bill and Ben why are you playing here
Bill: we’re not playing
Ben: we’re rescued trucks
Edward: what do you mean
Ben: even you don’t come in our yard without asking and you only take the truck we give you
Both: But this Diseasel didn’t ask he just took a lot
Edward: there is no cause to be rude BoCo I’m terribly sorry about these two
The twins were very confused
Both: BoCo
Edward: (smiling) yes this is BoCo he’s new around here he didn’t steal the truck he took them for me since I had a passenger train to run and I couldn’t do both jobs at once so I ask BoCo to take the truck for me
The Twins felt very stupid for jumping into conclusions
Bill: we sorry BoCo
BoCo: it’s alright and I’m sorry about the trucks
Edward: that’s alright then alright you two take BoCo’s truck and then you can take mine
The twin scampered away feeling very silly
BoCo: thanks for standing up for me Edward I don’t know you kept those two in order
Edward: we’ll they once played trick on me before until I put them in there place and now they don’t dare cause me trouble there no really harming to them but can be madding at times
BoCo chuckled
BoCo: madding is the word
As soon the twin fetched new trucks for BoCo the guard blew his whistle waved his green flag BoCo honked his horn and set off to make up the lost time an Edward whistled goodbye
