Description
Chapter 1: The Reunion

Link was now 12 years old and worked at home as his uncle's apprentice. It seemed the last few years had made his uncle ill. And by the orders of the doctor, Julian was to receive the medicine prescribed.
One day, the bottle had run dry. And Link, as routine, was sent out to Hyrule Castle Town to pay the doctor to refill the bottle with medicine.

The town that surrounded the magnificent castle of Hyrule, to which the namesake comes from, was a busy place of bustling shoppers and shouting marketers, a noisy mess, and such a joy for Link to visit; a place set apart from the quite of his home on the outskirts that made his stagnant blood flow again. This feeling of awestruck stopped however, when he spotted a girl in a brown hood who was loitering in the ally.

Out of curiosity, he waited till the suspicious hooded person walked on. The suspect took a route down the alley without a sign of being aware to his presence. He tried his best at sneaking, but eventually was caught by the suspect, who dashed off in a hurry. Link understood that only someone with the reason to run must need to be pursued, and did so throughout the dark network of allies in of the town, dodging boxes and dogs of many varieties.
This chase, which was not too impressive of one, finally led to a hole in the castle's wall. The suspect ducked through the hole, and with Link not far behind, he did so in an impressively quicker manner. And soon the suspect stopped running and tottered about warily until stopping under a tree. As Link approached, it began to climb it, when a loose branch grabbed the hood of her cloak, ripping the entire cloak off from the girl. She gasped and turned in trying to grab her cloak, but saw Link standing there. Of course, the girl knew by the surprised expression on the boy that it was too late to try and hide her face. He had already seen her by her luscious blond hair; so well kept and clean. Yes, the girl could be no other, but the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda, herself.

Never would Link have guessed that he was chasing Princess Zelda! Link snapped out of his astonished trance to kneel silently at the uncomfortable princess's feet.
Zelda sighed, while desperately asking while pulling the piece her cloak from the branch, "Please stand… there is no need to bow."
Link stood up, but still did not speak. He did not know exactly how one speaks to a person of such high caliber in these circumstances.
Upon his speechless demeanor, she continued, although it was obvious that he knew who she was, it was only civil that two must introduce upon meeting, "I am Princess Zelda of Hyrule, and you are?"
Link gulped and, shaking in the knees, he responded, "M... my name is Link…, I... it's a pleasure to meet you... Princess..."
Zelda was wondering at his name when she interrupted his nervous stuttering with a giggle, "There is no reason to be nervous, Sir Link."
Link blushed, "Just Link... I'm sorry I chased you... I thought you were a thief..."
Zelda looked at him huffily for a moment, and then said in a calm voice of resolution, "I see… I guess my movements were like that of someone with something to hide."
Link replied with a nod, "Sorry again…"

He had begun to feel more at ease to see that they had picked up on a good conversation, and ventured to ask her his biggest question, being on the topic, "So... why were you dressed like that anyway?"
Zelda snapped at him, gain a jump from him, "That's none of your concern. I have to go now. Goodbye."

Zelda storms away, leaving Link to stand there baffled. Link remembered then that he never bought the medicine, and was about to use the front gates until considering that they might become suspicious. So his enters the hole in the castle wall, finds his way to the main section of the market place and buys his uncle's medicine before quietly making his way home.
