Episode 48Without a fishing rod i was really starting to miss Broccoli around this point in the game.
Tiny was caught when I fought Plasma in the Cold Storage area, but like I said I'm shifting events around a bit. In case you haven't played the game, I traded Penelope to that kid for his Basculin. It'll be made more clear next episode.

Yeah, if they die in game they are marked as dead even if they dont actually die in comic. because then pokemon like Penelope arent marked dead since they were traded away. The stats in the title card are to reflect the game notes, since the comic can be a bit confusing when it comes to actual deaths

Ah, this trade is MUCH better than my Emolga<-->Boldore trade!
I traded a Boldore hoping to evolve it...I didn't know at the time that wild Boldores sometimes carry Everstones and didn't check it for an item...so no new Pokedex entry and I traded a Pokemon I kinda like just to get stuck with a Pokemon I hate

oh man, like that troll in gen four that trades you a haunter with an everstone. actually, there were a lot of pokemon in gen five that evolve from trading that I didn't know about, so I wasted a lot of time trying to train my boldore and it never evolved. womp

Indeed! There's really no reason for that Haunter to hold an everstone other than the game devs wanting an excuse to laugh at us XD
I wonder if the same is true for wild Boldores who hold the things?

i actually like everstones because i have a lot of pokemon that i prefer the middle stage for, so pokemon that carry them in the wild are nice.

Yes and no. Zero mentions that Tutu fainted in-game but she didn't want to actually kill her in the comic because it was "too soon for Jet to lose another Pokemon", so instead Tutu left the battle. While she's not "officially" dead, we won't be seeing her again anytime soon.
