Mantis is the guy on the left, a character created for me. This is my first time drawing him.Mantis is Zero's foster father, though it takes a long time for young Zero to see him as such. Maybe someday I'll type up Zero's Past and share it with all of yous. Walking home together after some training, I couldn't draw the Training Hall so i cropped it.
Originally it didn't even have a background, it was just Mantis and Zero. But then I painted one in when Yattaro encouraged me to.
The notable landmark at the center of the island is a reference to this picture , in which you can see the original design of Mantis. In any case, he belongs to me now >:3

I'll be completely honest: Though they're probably unrelated, the story's been falling apart since you left. I have opinions of specific members that I'd love to rant about, but this is neither the time nor the place. And I probably still wouldn't rant if it were.

He reminds me of a character from a game.... what game.... OH. A freeware game called Demon Gate. It's an RPG made in RPGMaker 2k3 by Keemoto, one of Chu's (the creator of the webcomic "Slightly Damned") friends. 83

its hard to see and i didnt notice until it was told to me, but the pendant Mantis is wearing, shaped like a star, is black on one side and stripped vertically on the other.
