Aiden is a soft spoken and polite boy who is often mistaken for being older than he actually is due to having evolved earlier than is typical for his kind. His adopted parents would put a lot of responsibility on him, and (while they wouldnt admit it) were low key afraid of him after he evolved because of his size and strength (and him being a fighting type while they were both normal types). Aiden would cope with this demoralizing environment by making himself as small as possible, being careful with his movements and how he spoke, and always apologizing for everything. He would spend a lot of time away from home, often hanging out at the explorers' guild where he could make himself useful. Aiden likes to read comics and play music in his spare time, and wants to be in a musical someday.

Zeke always had trouble with his self image, refusing to appear weak or vulnerable in front of others because they hated being pitied or embarrassed. He was a rude and difficult child, and so would be passed from foster home to foster home when his caregivers got fed up with them. Now as an adult, he is still a pichu due to having never had a meaningful close relationship in his life, and he's super self conscious about it! Zeke overcompensates by posturing and presenting himself as a cool confident dude who doesnt care what you think, who’s def better than you, and puts on a lot of charisma and charm in order to make people admire him and never admitting to his failures. He would always push people away when they get too close because he's embarrassed about being a pichu, and believes everyone looks down on him for it. He works solo missions at the explorer's guild because deep down he does want to do good, or maybe he just likes being dependable and looked up to, but he needs an excuse to keep an emotional distance between him and the people he helps.

Zeke is aware that the foster system failed him as a kid, and because of that feels a bit of kinship with Aiden, deciding to take responsibility for the boy after learning more about his upbringing. He feels less pressure to posture and be impressive around the machoke because he's still so young, but does feel a bit of satisfaction that someone so big and powerful shows them respect as an adult. Aiden actually appreciates how Zeke treats him like he's still a kid, chaperoning him and making sure he isnt taking on adult responsibilities. He also sees how Zeke struggles with letting people close to them, and that their confidence and snarky quick wit is just an act, but believes that under all that fakeness Zeke is genuinely a good guy. Zeke on the other hand is completely oblivious to the fact that Aiden can see through his mask, and doesnt at all expect to reciprocate any emotional attachment. He sees their bond as a one way street, where he provides Aiden with a proper role model and guardian, while Aiden is just a responsibility to him.

Zeke is the team leader, but is often too preoccupied with looking cool than getting anything done. He's also not very good in battle, as he is incapable of using electric attacks without hurting himself but also refuses to not use electric attacks because those are flashy and cool and no he's not a baby so he'll use electric attacks cuz he's an electric pokemon! Aiden is both the brains and the brawn of the operation, he has the muscle to take on pretty much any physical task, but he also is very smart and can figure out what the best course of action is. However, he often feels like he needs permission to go all out, as he doesnt want people to get mad at him if he breaks something or hurt someone, so he often needs Zeke's encouragement to actually get stuff done. Zeke likes being in charge and Aiden needs to have someone to guide him. I'm also imagining a dynamic similar to Mob and Reigan from Mob Psycho 100.

Zeke will always call you by a nickname, it's part of how he keeps emotional distance from people. He refers to Aiden as Kid or Ace. Aiden will sometimes refer to Zeke as Sir. Zeke is non-binary, but uses he/him pronouns because they make him feel tough and in charge. Zeke has undiagnosed NPD.
