Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken
My tradition is to always get the fire type starter, but I have to be honest I never really liked the Torchic line. Torchic is cute, and combusken is a cool little monster i guess, but Blaziken is not appealing to me at all, and so I would always box my Blaziken once it was fully evolved despite it being my starter.

great drawing!! i personally absolutely love combusken (really love how you drew it, fuzzy chicken friend..) and am fond of torchic line in general, torchic has always been my partner in 3rd gen games

i like combuskin's huge chicken feet, looks like he could do some real damage with those kicks! like a real fighter! i like the first two stages it's literally just blaziken i have issue with XD

...You could've done what I always did with the Treecko/Grovyle/Sceptile line and just forbid your starter from evolving past the second stage.

honestly now that i think about it.... i don't really like any of the 3rd gen starters, more or less roll dice to decide
they're starting forms are cute but after that all 3 just get weird...

Also, fascinating to find two people who don't care for Blaziken! I always thought I was alone in that. I've actually come to appreciate it a lot more in recent years, but as a kid, I felt like I was the only soul on Earth that hated that Pokemon
