As we can see here, Zero posing with her spear/lance "null&void". Among weapons I enjoy, I've always had a fondness for spears, I used to practice everyday with a 6'-7' 20-25lbs metal pole, and I have a spear in my room that I used to practice with from time to time when I had more free time and space to practice at. So having Zero using pole arms is another thing she sorta got from me, at least when not playing Monster Hunter, otherwise it's "Sword and Shield" and "Heavy Bow Guns". Sorta want to later have an art of Zero in a combat pose wielding her spear and partially half transformed into her Genetic Enhancer mode.
