Description
Remeber how at the end of Portal, you hear GLaDOS singing the song "Still Alive"? Well, that just lead me to think that she (GLaDOS) might have had her virtual conciousness backed up on another computer somewhere, or better yet, something a little more complex than a supercomputer...Basically I re-made GLaDOS as a cyborg. Now instead of being so heartless towards her test subjects, she's a little more compassionate (seeing as how she's now the same species as them).
Anyway two things I've learned from drawing this:
1: With enough change, everyone can become a better person.
2: The words GLaDOS and dual-weilding should never be used in the same sentence. XD

As long as you make note of what the song is and who made it, it will fall under "fair use." I may not be a law grad, but every student knows that.

But deviantart doesn't allow any copyrighted songs to be played on-site without written consent from the song writer and record company that holds the title.

If you are making something unique, like a music video or something, but to be sure, check with the rules and let me know via note. I think it's only if you do music videos and unique works of art through it, I should have noted that it would be just to test your abilities. You know, see if you can animate stuff. However, yes, if you are going to make something unique from something copyrighted, then yes, I agree with the rules and regulations on this one.
It may not apply to TESTS of ability, a.k.a. "just to see if you can do it" sort of stuff. However, I am not sure, check with the rules, see if it does apply to animation tests, if not, you can do a lipsync test, if so, then use something else.

Turrets are easy to take down, just tip them over.
And the portal device can't be used on metal surfaces.

And is it biological components underneath that "dress" or mecanical parts under the chassis.

As far as storyline goes, well, I just didn't draw any other Aperture employees around in this pic.
Since this isn't an official design by Valve, the storyline behind this upgrade I made for GLaDOS isn't official either. The bit of story I made for her was this: after the combine are eventually defeated, Aperture Science comes back into business, and to prevent another enrichment center incident, upgrades GLaDOS to this.
And she does have legs like humans do, but she does have a few mechanical componants as well.

That's just a detail that I added to her.
As far as a mini story behind that goes; the researchers at Aperture Science took shed skin cells from female human employees, combined their DNA, and then cloned a body out of them (which they then modified into this).

And human emotions can be repressed. It will take some time, but it can be done. And as GLaDOS can't "die" of old age, she has plenty of time to do that.
And you forgot about if she/it was angry (bad things happened when she/it was angry)

Uhh, well, in the game Portal, GLaDOS kills everyone in the lab with a deadly neuro-toxin, so giving her any veriety of wepons would be a big mistake (Unless she's in this form here; the one where she actually can care about people/things).

I mean the destination that the portal exits in. For instance, the entrance end of the portal may be on a safe, normal wall, but the exit end might be over a fire pit or acid pool.
