I think you should try to do a flash where she sings the last few lines from "This device has been modified"
Lines are:
Well, you found me...
Congratulations...
Was it worth it? >:[
The only thing you managed to break so far... ;_;
is my heart... ;_;
This isn't brave... ;_;
It's murder!!! ;_;
What did I ever do to you? ;_;
You don't even care, do you? >:[

I can't do that, because the song is copyrighted.

As long as you make note of what the song is and who made it, it will fall under "fair use." I may not be a law grad, but every student knows that.

But deviantart doesn't allow any copyrighted songs to be played on-site without written consent from the song writer and record company that holds the title.

If you are making something unique, like a music video or something, but to be sure, check with the rules and let me know via note. I think it's only if you do music videos and unique works of art through it, I should have noted that it would be just to test your abilities. You know, see if you can animate stuff. However, yes, if you are going to make something unique from something copyrighted, then yes, I agree with the rules and regulations on this one.
It may not apply to TESTS of ability, a.k.a. "just to see if you can do it" sort of stuff. However, I am not sure, check with the rules, see if it does apply to animation tests, if not, you can do a lipsync test, if so, then use something else.

Might/might not. I haven't really decided.
Not a remote control, but an emergancy shut off that knocks her out.

Rushing through guns blazing blasting everything in sight.
The rockets would blow up before it got anywhere.
And has anyone tried to send a rocket back at a rocket pod turret?
Besides, rockets can only go in one direction after they're fired.

ZeroDevil In reply to That-guy99 [2008-09-21 02:53:07 +0000 UTC]
I have tried sending it back at itself once (it failed).
True, however, they can only go in one direction after they're fired (unless they're laser-guided, like in Half Life 2).

I see.
So, "Non-hostile to humans" eh? What if a human was hostile to it? (Such as rushing through guns blazing blasting everything in sight)

ZeroDevil In reply to That-guy99 [2008-09-17 19:00:50 +0000 UTC]
Then she'd probably defend herself, but with this half-human form, she won't go around trying to kill people like she did in Portal.

ZeroDevil In reply to That-guy99 [2008-09-19 19:01:59 +0000 UTC]
By either controling the turrets, or using the portal device.

That-guy99 In reply to ZeroDevil [2008-09-19 23:00:30 +0000 UTC]
Turrets are easy to take down, just tip them over.
And the portal device can't be used on metal surfaces.
Remember, I said rushing through guns blazing blasting everything in sight.

What happened to the female human employees? Or any employee? GLaDOS seems to be the only one left.
And is it biological components underneath that "dress" or mecanical parts under the chassis.
π: 0 β©: 1
ZeroDevil In reply to That-guy99 [2008-09-16 18:57:38 +0000 UTC]
As far as storyline goes, well, I just didn't draw any other Aperture employees around in this pic.
Since this isn't an official design by Valve, the storyline behind this upgrade I made for GLaDOS isn't official either. The bit of story I made for her was this: after the combine are eventually defeated, Aperture Science comes back into business, and to prevent another enrichment center incident, upgrades GLaDOS to this.
And she does have legs like humans do, but she does have a few mechanical componants as well.

That's just a detail that I added to her.
As far as a mini story behind that goes; the researchers at Aperture Science took shed skin cells from female human employees, combined their DNA, and then cloned a body out of them (which they then modified into this).

π: 0 β©: 1
ZeroDevil In reply to That-guy99 [2008-08-15 17:38:45 +0000 UTC]
Don't know about the radiation...
But as for the anti-psychotic mesures, well, forever. Human emotions don't go away.
π: 0 β©: 1
That-guy99 In reply to ZeroDevil [2008-08-16 07:05:47 +0000 UTC]
But, as humans, being psychotic is in the human DNA, how do you think we became the dominant species on this planet?
1.) Intelligence
2.) Being the nastiest, craziest mother****ers around. (How many wars have we had so far? That should give you a hint)
And human emotions can be repressed. It will take some time, but it can be done. And as GLaDOS can't "die" of old age, she has plenty of time to do that.
And you forgot about if she/it was angry (bad things happened when she/it was angry)
At GLaDOS her/itself: BLACK MESA HAS BETTER MEMORY THAN YOU! MY WATCH HAS MORE MEMORY THAN YOU! A DEAD WEASEL HAS MORE MEMORY THAN YOU! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!*
(She can't get me, I'm not at the Enrichment Center and she is! HAHA!*)

Uhh, well, in the game Portal, GLaDOS kills everyone in the lab with a deadly neuro-toxin, so giving her any veriety of wepons would be a big mistake (Unless she's in this form here; the one where she actually can care about people/things).

AceTrainerMegaron In reply to ZeroDevil [2008-07-14 17:21:27 +0000 UTC]
No. After that, on the transporter, GLaDOS says: "Here are some safety recommendations: Do not touch the end of the device. Do not sumerge the device into water. Do not touch the projectiles it shoots. And, above all, do not*interference sound*"

ZeroDevil In reply to AceTrainerMegaron [2008-07-14 23:46:01 +0000 UTC]
I mean the destination that the portal exits in. For instance, the entrance end of the portal may be on a safe, normal wall, but the exit end might be over a fire pit or acid pool.
