I love the subway in New York! Unfortunately one is not allowed to take pictures in any of the subway stations. I got in trouble last time I took some pictures (1994)! I just spent a few days in New York over Christmas and was very tempted to take some shots in the subway but cameras were everywhere and I didn't want to loose my camera to one of the security guys.....You must have been lucky. I like your shot a lot!

you just have to hid the fact that you are taking a photo, in this shot i had the camera at my waist pressed against one of the beams

I love that it's in B&W, generally train-moving pictures tend to be colour ones. B&W gives it such a moody, grungey feel that makes the whole underground look a bit seedy but beautiful for it. Then the train comes through like a lightfilled saviour.

Well if its one photo its a pretty darn good one. The subway looks like a fireball coming down the tunnel

I love the feeling within this shot - it's as if a sudden wave of light is about to overwhelm the entire subway station, and keep going on and on. Nice contrast here as well

actually, i've been living there my whole life and i have barely gotten any.
maybe i'll do so sometime soon.
pretty interesting subway shot nevertheless. hope that people didn't look at your suspiciously. (or that you didn't totally confuse the train-instructor!)

I love how it doesn't not feel like any other subway shot I've seen in film, TV or in photography. Usually, most of the ones that I see are much cleaner and less motion.
