well, these are portraits based on reference shots...so if she had a piercing, it would have been here. otherwise, I stick to working with what the subject is...

mmmmp!
yeah, definately one of the best of your portraits.
the outline on the base of the nose, and the simple angular shadows on the other side are really good.
but the kicker is the hair. the dreds came out really well... plus i got this dreadlock fetish thing goin.... maybe im biased.
also like how you cut the picture off at the top, leaving just the base of the object on her head showing. though im not sure what it is, in my mind its definately goggles. cause dreadlocks + goggles = godly style.

This is one of my favorites so far. I love the play of the red against the blue-green background. Smart choice. The boldness of the hair and eyes really work for me too.

I'm not that crazy about some of the shapes that are on her face in a light grey, but I really love her hair. I'm glad the dreads still came out well in your piece--they really add to it.

yes and no. i have not actively whored myself for a while, but I do the following:
1. have begun selling prints here (albeit I have a lot of work to do to put the 50-odd other candidates form the gallery I feel should go into print)
2. I do commissions (and I am fairly flexible on costs dependent on the scale of the project)
3. I have on occasion sold originals of my own manufacture (without previous commission/committment) but those are rare.
the cheapest for-profit thing I've done has been about 10 bucks...the most expensive was a in the 4 digit range.

I was just curious, because you have a very attractive style, and it seems as though it could be profittable. I know I'll soon buy a print. I was wondering if you sold beyond DA.
thanks for your reply.
