Barkindle evolves into Wolflaze starting at level 17, which evolves into Wolverize at level 36.
Dex Entry
Barkindle's body is very warm to hug, meaning kids and other Pokémon love to snuggle up to it. When angry, it will heat up and its tail will burn hot.

Fennekin doesn't really count, foxes may be related to Dogs but they are not the same! That like saying your cousin is same person you are!

True, I said the same thing when I saw Fennekin. Same goes for Cyndaquil. It is a rodent, but not rally a mouse/rat. Seeing as all of the fire starts are based on the Chinese Zodiac. So our fox is the closet we're going to get to a dog starter.

Sorry I should have typed that differently. I meant it more to Empoleon with it being water/steel. Seeing as it is weak to both Torterra (ground),and Infernape (fighting). . I just know if a fire/electric dose show up. I hope the other two starters don't suck. (I honestly forgot what I was trying to prove here)

Pokemon can have any one of 3 possible abilities (2 abilities + a hidden ability). Hidden abilities has been around for years now haha, where have you been? :P

I would definitely choose Barkindle because when I started playing Pokémon I always favored the Fire-types, and I really love Dark-types. I'd name him Wolfinator!
