I just wish either his top was brown or his feet were grey. I get it because it shows a connection between the pre-evo but it seems like there are too many colors going on. I do love his eyes though!

I was a bit surprised when I first saw it, but I've really grown to love it! It really stands apart from Dorentu as it's own design which is an awesome thing when you think about it. Bibarel can never get very far from bidoof, but this carries it's own personality and I love it. I don't know if I'd have given it so many colours, especially the one on his feet but it's cool eitherway.

1) this fakemon is neat. it's pretty clever (my favorite part: the leaf bowtie) overall. a nod to totoro is also fun
2) i can understand the perspective of people who were surprised by this evolution, but i can also understand the argument that evolutions can be surprising (which make them fun!). i don't think that the remoraid-octillery line is a great argument because they are so different, while dorentu & grandorent are pretty similar, but i understand the point. i also want to comment that there were very few 'surprise' evolutions in this past generation.

I recently discovered the connections between octillery and remoraid. I knew the designs bother related to 'shooting' and granted the designs are still rather unjustifiable, they're linked by remoraid referencing a gun, and octillery a tank... it's still a little diluted, but I'm at least content with it now.
