Description
A painting inspired by tarot cards
So there are the stuff you'll find on the card here, crayfish, twin pillars and wolf
(i know the wolves are not clearly visible here, but whatever)
Emmm... incase you want to tell me she didn't cast shadow on the roack or her legs can't be seen, she is actually an illusion {a part of the card's meaning has to do with illusions}, so no shadows
I'm giving this painting to one of my best friends for her birthday. LoLz, I just realised that I had never given her anyart works since I knew her at 9 years old. Hope she'll like it

I actually used to study the tarot cards. This is an awesome piece of work. The wolves are still visible, the moon, the woman, the water, the rose everything! perffect! <33

Wow..this is my favorite of all your work you have. IT's very nice. I like how her hair flows up. And yeah, the artwork and such on tarot cards are amazing! You did a wonderful job. Acrylic paint is hard to use..Gah, i just got done using it on a painting ofmine. Evils..

acrylic i find takes a little longer to get used to compared to watercolour, but it should be relatively easy to work with after maybe.. 2 to 3 paintings?

that is utterly and astoundingly beautiful - the detail of her, and yet the wispiness with which she blends in the surrounding of her is incredible.
you paint with great coloring, as well. your use of shading is impeccable.

very very nice technique used.. i like it alot, most definantly VERY tarot cardy.. the first thing i noticed.. is that the girl looks too solid to be an illusion.. and she shares the same light scource as everythign else in the pic(the moon) why no shadow? shes certainly got it on her arms.. but then again, im not really sure on the.. anatomy of an illusion?
very very nice hair, i think that and her dress contributes to the whole mystical effect this painting has... the rock, looks AMAZING, i love that rock. but the other parts of the painting look a little rushed compared to the rock.. but that could be because the rock is in the foreground.. and the rest, is not?..
as for the girls face, u said u had sum problems with it... her eyes arent level, or even, and her mouth is too frowny and angled weird, not in line with the rest of her face.. but i think it looks fine, great hands.. but it doesnt look like the arms wer treated as an arm, with two bones, rather than a piece of rubber... it looked very bent, try doing a harder arm angle, and think about how the arm is two cylindars joined together, like a hinge, and it may help you out.
as for her but, and grounding it.. haha dont necisarily make it BIGGER, but.. bring it down, so its resting on the rock..it kind of looks like she is sitting on her upper leg... and thats it, just angled like that haha also, the wolves and the little (im assuming its one of those shinto barriers?) look AWESOME they add such a perfect effect too this.. i think if they wer just defined a little more it would be perfect. great job

hee hee, added shadows on her cos she looked too flat if I paint without shadows, looks kinda off. hmm but it does looks somewhat solid because of that TT_TT

Impressive piece. I really must compliment your style. You did a great job of making the hair. I loved the shape/flow of it. The moon was the only thing I found flawed, as it was a bit shaky around the edges. Not saying I could do better, because I can't, but I would have expected that with the beauty of the rest of the picture, the moon would be better.
