Description
This is Hel the Queen of the Norse Underworld, as inspired by the book Runemarks by Joanne Harris. A fantastic book and I cant wait for the sequel.Anyways, it was done watercolour and mesaures 9x7cm, nice and petit.
I likedthe idea of her two sides being stiched together, hence the stiched line down the middle. The red parts on her dead side are the muscle showing through tears in her skin.

I may do one of Loki and Maddy soon for those who know of them.

She defo needs some form of surgery on tha face, but then I guess she wouldnt fit in Hel.
Im considering making a full 3d sculpey version of her, so Ill give you a shout if I do so.

Runemarks is an awesome book, I read it more than one time. I think I'm in a hype currently... (currently=since last summer. XD I just can't get away from it...

I must say I too like her eyes the most, especially the dead one!
I really loved Runemarks and it really touched me in places, and i felt so sorry for Hel, she seemed so lonely.
So after my art exam, im hoping to do Maddy and Loki as i said before, and then possibly do a collective picture of the Vanir, Aesir and the folk. Especially Ethelberta, she is one of my fave characters bless her. And dont forget Fat Lizzy!

I just loved the way her character changed in the story.
I also felt sorry for Hel, I think she's the most depressed character in the story.
I can't wait to see your drawings of Loki and Maddy.
By the way, you might think that's typical for girls to think so, but I think Maddy and Loki would make a quite nice couple.

I totally agree with Maddy and Loki as a couple! They would be so good together but aren't they semi related through Odin in some weird way?
Still it would make for a nice romance.

I wouldn't have known your were not English if you didn't tell me, your grammar is really good, and the spelling has been always correct!
And yeah, i have an art exam, no writing thank goodness, i have 15 hours to produce a really good piece of art. Its not too bad, but it can be quite stressful at times!

I'm always a little too lazy and because I'm the youngest and act way more immature than the other they do not really take me for full. They do not treat me bad or something, but look down on me.
