I know I'm not the commissioner, but I think this is one of the four alternate color schemes you can use in-game. Might've just been his personal preference.

I never actually played the game myself, so I don't exactly know the different alternate color schemes, plus I always thought that the sorceress' hair color was some shade of brown instead of red. If it is indeed red, then I guess that's a mistake on my part.
