and so Foxcake dons the goggles.

Where did he get them? He got them for cheap at a flea market. He traded in a bunch of nuts he found and a rock with a face drawn on it. But mostly he was really loud and pushy so the seller just wanted to get rid of him asap.
"Whoooaaaa!!" Foxcake's eyes shimmered about as much the lenses of the goggles in the sunlight. "Those are so cool!" He exclaimed, to the amusement of the seller.

"You got coin to buy these with?" the merchant asked with a smirk.

Foxcake placed his claws on the edge of the counter - as much as was possible for his small stature - and stared into the merchant's eyes. The seller stared back, quizzically, before he got bored of trying to understand and blinked. "AH! YOU BLINKED! I beat you so I say those goggles should be my prize!"

The merchant scoffed. "I would say 'nice try', but I don't see how that would ever work at all, kid." Foxcake grumbled at this as he started to get his fuzzy head working on a plan of some kind. He set out on a mission to find something to trade for those cool goggles. In the nearby forests, he found a bunch of tasty-looking nuts. He placed them on the vendor's counter with a triumphant swing to his arm. The adult wyngro wasn't impressed in the slightest and simply looked from the offer to the offer-ee, waiting to see how this could be a justifiable trade at all.

"Uh, but, these are rare, y'know! It's the great me who found them especially for you!" Fox announced but upon seeing no change in the adult's expression, kept going. "That is... I saw how tiring this job is so I got you a meal! You should express your gratefulness!"

"Thanks," he replied simply, without touching the nuts.

"Tch." Fox clicked his tongue and set out again. He returned several times after, annoying the merchant more and more as the day went on. He placed a big, smooth rock before the merchant with a goofy face drawn on it in ink.

"My final offer."

The seller looked cautious to express relief at the word "final". "Oh? What's this then?"

"Well, if you don't accept my gracious offers for trade, I'll just have to torment you everyday. Y'know. I feel like we've become friends by now. This has been pretty fun." And with a "heh" Fox grinned to himself, crossing his arms and looking like some proud dude who's acknowledging a worthy rival.

The merchant looked like he had eaten something bad. He sighed heavily and handed the wyngling a pair of goggles. "Jeeze, fine, take them. But never bother me again or dare talk about how you got them. It'll hurt my business."

"You're the best!!"
added all the fluff upgrades i could from the get-go so he can be a proper fox child. head tuft as well as cheek, neck and body fluff.
