Description when I first found her, it was a cold night. one stranger than most others.

there had been many nights not unlike this one, but something was off about it. the cold never bothered me much, but my companions were wanting to turn back and go home. I would have kindly let them if only I, myself had a better sense of direction. at the time, none of us really knew what could have been causing the unnaturally cold temperatures in this area, only that some of the pokemon had been moving away from it. migrations weren't unusual, but for this time of year, it was rather peculiar.
I bundled up my teammates in what cloth we could spare and treaded foreward. I felt a little bad that they had to come along with me due to my own incompetence, but it was unsafe to leave the area like this. if the cold spread to the crops we were trying to grow, it would mean that we would suffer losses and be short on supply to feed everyone. if it was a pokemon, (which seemed the most likely), then it could be dealt with. if not, we would have to move entirely.

I felt a pull in my chest and stopped momentarily to alert my companions. "I think it's this way." I said. to which my partner responded with a confused "what makes you think that?"
it never seemed to matter who I said it to, "a gut feeling" no one ever took it seriously. except for those who stuck around to get to know me better. "fine. but after this, you're gonna owe me." I sighed and shook my head, heading deeper into the snow. it felt eerie, but comforting.

as my partner's unease grew, I could tell we were getting close. and then my ears picked up on the sound of crying... not unlike what you would hear from a lost child, but it almost echoed like wind chimes. "it's here." I spoke and suddenly the world fell quiet. even the wind seemed to halt.

I peeked around a tree and saw it.. a blue, icy misdreavus, seeming to peer into her own reflection as the ice under her hovering body crept up, slowly overtaking that reflection... if you could even call it that. it was murky and distorted. she looked sad. there were no others around for what like several kilometers. the once lively forest was now barren. no fruits to eat nor prey to hunt. poor thing must have been starving. it would normally have been unwise to call out like I did, but something about her felt familiar. whatever she was going through, she was not alone.

"are you alright?" I asked. her attention already on me. I suppose it would have been easy to notice given my size and the lack of presence anywhere else. "are you serious right now? you're gonna get yourself killed-" my partner said quietly, trying to go unnoticed. I ignored them and took a slow step foreward. "it must be lonely out here. what beautiful weather you've brought, but it scares others, doesn't it?" she turned to face me properly, flaring up a bit. "it's okay. I quite like the cold. however, others might find it hard to live here..." she lowered her head. I observed her behavior and reached into my pouch, offering a piece of my rations to her. "it's not much, but I do have more back where I live." she was cautious, but I was determined.

I never much liked violence. and she had a look on her face that I knew all too well. I didn't want her to be lonely like I was.
