Only the most badass night elf of all time.
Illidan Stormrage, and I specifically opted to draw the Warcraft 3 version of him since that is my favorite portrayal of this awesome character. Lots of squinting at the in-game model later, the only thing I took some artistic liberty with was the design of his blades and the rings on his horns.
Drawn with a crappy ballpoint pen, the kind that likes to alternate between not working and spitting globs of ink everywhere no matter how many times you clean it (you know, the kind cheap enough for workplaces to give you for free), on regular legal-sized copy paper. I'm ridiculously proud of how this came out though, especially since WC3 Illidan was literally my very first look at Warcraft and is one of my favorite characters. The original is even more impressive than the resized scan, especially given how ordinary the drawing tools were.

i love illidan but i have always hated the panda pictures on his blades i just.... dont get it haha great picture though

Haha yep, the pandas were always just meant to just be a joke/easter egg for those who cared to look close enough, not official by any means. I agree, it's kind of odd. This picture was just to imitate the in-game model as closely as possible, easter egg included, but I'd definitely be using the more traditional blade design for future Illidan illustrations. Thanks!
