Mother of Sunlight, Rain, Lightning and Everything that dwells in the sun lit sky. Celestial ruler of all pony kind, and Sister of Luna, Godess of the Moon, Night and the Underworld.Queen of the Sanctuary, Celestia watches all over Equestria, protected by her loyal Knights, the Golden Saints of the Zodiac.
Inspired between my little pony and Saint Seiya.
There's no oficial Zeus' Cloth yet, either on the manga or anime (as far i'm aware of). So i have to make and design one.

Hi fella, I'm going to answer your questions. As the author wrote in the description of all these "Zodiac ponies" they're based on Saint Seiya, a japanese anime based on greek mythology, where the 88 greek constelations are represented as armours and 88 young men and women are chosen to wear them in order to protect the world and the goddess Athenea.
There are three types of armours, bronze, the main characters in the show wear these armours, silver and gold; the golden armours are the strongest and are represented by the twelve zodiac signs.
In the show, the bronze knights have to fight against the twelve golden knights to save Athenea's life, going from Aries to Pisces. When they get to Capricorn, they find out that he's the most loyal knight to Athenea, so, she granted his loyalty giving him the most powerful sword ever known, Excalibur.
All that is just part of the show and that's how they are related.
I hope I could answer your questions, and I'm sorry for the long explanation, but I don't know if you know about Saint Seiya's show.

The concept, characters and music. It's quite good. Granted, the series has grown stale iver the decades, but the original series up to the Hades Chapter are amazing.
What i like the most it's the concept: knights wearing armor resembling stars and constellations it's a cool idea. And the design of their armors (cloths, as the anime calls them) it's amazing, specially the later chapters, where technology and animation techniques allowed for more complex designs.

Along with looking at some stills from the series, I get the impression
of a "Greek Heroes meets Space Opera". Which is all the evidence I need
to give the series a try, so should it be Dub or Sub?

Sub. The Japanese cast was really good. The dub... not so much.
Just make sure not to watch saint seiya omega. That one does not reflect the reasons many of us like Saint Seiya.
You can also watch Saint Seiya the Lost Canvas, non-canonical but really really good, on the spirits of the original (although they never finished the anime, but it's a good one still. The manga is complete, so that's an option if you want to see how the story unfolds)
Beware that after the galactic tournament on the 1st season, toe animation studios made some filler chapters.
The great archs are gallactic tournament, the silver saints chapters, the 12 houses of zodiac (golden saints), and all of the rest. (Basically just a few chapters after the gallactic tournament are "meh" but they are not terrible or anything, just... made up by Toei Animation Studios to give the manga author more time to finish his stuff)

It's a little hard to see where that one raised leg ends compared to the foreleg behind it, but I otherwise absolutely love that armour and shoes and stuff. Good work.

I totally agree about the leg thing, it was easier to see where everything was when Celestia's base was bare skin, but once the armor was added, yeah... it complicated things. But thank you a lot for the comment, i'm glad you liked it!!!

I do like it. I've always loved Celestia and her design, and I'm a fan of pony clothes and pony shoes to a point minor obsession... Sadly, I'm also a bit of a pedantic type, so I was probably the worst person to come across your art, but yeah, I did really enjoy it.
