Description Managed to turn the sky blue but I do still like the brown sky, so I'm afraid you'll have to put up with both version

I have the same Hoya R72, but my a380 is blind for infra-red ;(

The A700 isn't brilliant for IR, but I wasn't planning on taking any, so I didn't have the A100 with me,

Both the A100 and A700 are the only Alphas that can capture IR naturally, right?

All D-SLRs do have IR-Filters directly in front of the sensor which can't be removed easily. The only digital cameras which can capture IR are the SONY cameras which have a so called "night-capture" mode.

I know about those - mostly the upper H-series.
But the A100 and A700 has been proven to capture IR even w/o an IR filter to block off all visible light and w/o PP.

idk I'm afraid. All I know is that the A100 allows alot more IR light to reach the sensor than the A700 does. I would guess, that the Minolta 5d would be pretty good for IR too - might be a cheaper 2nd hand option than the A100 - but as I said, it's only a guess.
