May I use your picture for a non-profit advertising campaign for our school. We are trying to raise funds for a worker in Thailand.

Wow. I love everything about this photo. I'm going to Thailand on April 29th and the thing I'm most excited to do there is take photographs. I love the tone quality and how the background is slightly blurred so the boy really stands out. So much emotion. Amazing.

I love your deviation. I have to do a little project about emotions, gestures etc. in my school. Could I use your deviation?

The image contains a lot of dignity in itself, and his expression is respectful. Technically it is excelent too.

Wow. . . the look in that boy's face speaks quite a few words. Incredible pic. I can see how it wasn't posed even though it looks so. I'm guessing he was asking for change and you snapped a pic. Beautiful peace. I agree that the somersaulting pics would have been awesome, but I think this one is even better. Wow. I really don't know what more to say.

It was the same in Lao too. I was in the Morning Market, and a boy about 3 was digging through ashes for cans. He looked so hopeless... I turned around to ask my mother for some money to give to him, and her hand was already out with 60 baht. I had to chase after him to give him the money. He just silently thanked me and ran off. I wanted to cry.

Truly a beautiful shot. I am left perplexed on how you were able to take the shot so fast while boy was looking at you and maintain focus?

Amazing!
Did you give them some money?
Anyways... what I like is of course the expression, but also the DOF... It isolates the subject, but it also shows the environment which he lives in.
Kudos!

wow! i saw this on the daily deviations side bar, and was sucked in! this is an unbelievable shot! the sand on the childs hands and the independant streeks of liquid whether it be rain, pool or tears, maybe even sweat... it all says so much. then the final gripping point are the praying hands, they seem to be pleeing, pleeing for something i can't give. it is a powerful picture on that the world should see. this goes to my favorites! thankyou for sharing this one!
