So i have finally been able to finish this
This is the idea chosen by me in this [link] journal post.

I kinda liked this idea for few reasons, first off i wanted to have some challenge and draw something humanoid (even if i can't draw humans at all). Secondly... i wanted to put a little bit more effort to it, but i'm still not satisfied with the results (usually when i'm finishing a pic, i use the quickest methods to do stuff and thanks to it i'm making much more errors and weaker effects).
Anyway, i would like to know what do you think about the hair effect i put on the colossus and if it will be a good idea to apply that method to ponies. And please, point out my every mistake, i'm a man that learns on its failures

i think the effect you used on the colossus' fur would look good on the ponies' manes and tails. it would certainly and more depth to them visually, and make them less 2D and more 3D. even adding a few highlights to show light bouncing off the hair, making it even more real...
...
but that's just my opinion, that could just as well be ignored.
also, the colossus looks amazing! i actually ordered Shadow of the Colossus online and am now eagerly awaiting it's arrival. so many of my friends have told me it was good so i decided to try the game.

i'm not to good at pc games, myself.
i got the game yesterday and i've already slain three colossi.
experimenting with styles can always help improve an artist's work. i've been trying to color some of my newer drawings by stippling with markers; when overlapped multiple times, it gives this scaly effect... but after a while, my hand hurts like it was crushed by a car door.

For the colossus, I mean. Seriously, between lectures and The Stare that thing doesn't stand a chance against Fluttershy.
As for the hair effect, I think it works. It might not if the picture was brighter 'cause then it's blurriness would stand out in contrast to the darker lineart that you usually use on characters. That makes sense, right? Still, looks good. I'm sure you'll come up with something.

Wszystkiego trzeba spróbować, no nie? Teraz już wiesz, jak to wygląda. Może jakbyś narysował Fluttershy na jakiejś skarpie i tego mięśniaka, jak widać tylko jego głowę (ale wiadomo, że jest DUŻY! - resztę zasłania urwisko, skarpa, cokolwiek) to wtedy skupiłbyś uwagę na plocie
