Good change; everything going on around the sides and bottom plays off well with the emptiness of the middle, bringing out the vastness of the ocean in a manner feeling absolutely serene. Funny how that one subtraction (well, and the other extra bubbles) raised the piece to its full potential.
And because I may have been coming off as too "pretentious" lately, farts. Farts farts farts.

Alright!
So.. first of all I have to say I really envy how well you can portray the coral and how to use separate colors to portray a tone, like with the purple and red at the bottom and the yellow light bouncing off of things. Man, that's just gorgeous. ;3; Seriously gotta give you creds on how lovely those coral and rock walls are.
Plus, some of the pokemon show spot on anatomy with dynamic movement and who really sticks out that way are Froakie, Chinchou, Squirtle, and Frillish, Maybe even a little of luvdisc! Having multiples in the picture keeps it extra interesting, and the further they are, the less saturated they are and the more they blend into the background. Glad to know you know that last tidbit, because you don't know HOW MANY artists seem to forget those two points (or maybe in my case, be too lazy to make a painting interesting?)Β
Number one gripe though, the bubbles in the foreground definitely seem out of place. They kinda look like they've been copied and pasted, because they don't match the rest of the colors and they're perfectly round. As you've shown where there's movement everywhere else in the drawing, bubbles are more of a wobbly shape (which is really nicely done btw), especially in a current , so why change that when they move to the front? Mew's bubble is fine, just the 100% round ones in the middle! Other thing would be some of the other tiny anatomy things, like how mudkip's eyes are a little too close, or wartortle's head is a little too oval, just tiny things. The last thing's not big, but it does a lot surprisingly! Though it always fixes itself when you draw a lot of them.
Whelp, thank you for this lovely painting, and hope this has been some help!

Thank you so so much for the critique! Β It's very helpful! Β I think I'll fix the bubbles some time in the future, since I also wanna redo Mew. Β Sorry it took so long to reply and thanks again!

The painted look here is absolutely gorgeous. It's especially nice how you tinted all of the colors to work with the blue of the water; it really adds to the cohesiveness. One minor gripe would be that the bubbles (except for Mew's) seem to stand out a bit, feeling like they're in the forefront instead of mixed into the water. Of course, that could be intentional for all I know.

Yeah, you're right. They do really stand out. I might fix that when I go back to color the one pokemon I forgot to color.

I love Mew, too! (if my username wasn't obvious enough)
This is really good. I like how you put all of the underwater PokΓ©mon there. They all look so cool ^^

I am not a veteran digital painter but I can critique you. But there is no need. Just as good as any other piece you do. I especially like that you added water types from all gens here. Keep on Juicin'!
