Description Yuri Ivanov was a simple man. He immigrated from Oymyakon, Russia (the coldest inhabitable place on Earth) in 2005 and settled in Omina City. He worked as a construction worker and met his future wife, Laura, after a steel beam got dislodged and almost killed her. Yuri pulled her out of danger and saved her life. They have been inseparable ever since and now have a 10 year old daughter, Diana 

After the DNAftershock, Yuri was turned into a Polar Bear Hybrid and possessed Cryokinetic Abilities. At first he frightened his wife and daughter with his new form but they saw past the animal he turned into and remember who he really was. Unfortunately they wouldn't get a chance to stay together for long since a quarantine was put in place and Laura and Diana were taken away, leaving Yuri alone and in the cold again.

Yuri's attire is meant to keep himself warm from the cold he exerts and his boots have spikes to keep him level on the icy surfaces he sometimes creates.

Coincidence ? I think not! I love We Bare Bears and especially the episodes involving Ice Bear and Yuri (in some way) like "Yuri and the Bear" and "Icy Nights II"

It's strange that in a series of drawing called Hybrids there's no character who is hybridized with a real-life animal hybrid like the liger or the beefalo

Those tended to result in infertile Hybrid test subjects so the double Hybrids were made instead.

Will he get de-mutated?  Or will they just mutate his family because that's easier.  Or will he and his family just deal with it?  Time will tell.

Well the whole hybrid process mutates people on a genetic level and in the whole DNAftershock event that mutated the whole city, if you were capable of becoming a Hybrid then you changed, so Yuri's family can't mutate like he did. Yuri can change back into his human self because his animal form is mammalian, so with effort and willpower he can change back. It's outside forces that are looking to keep Yuri and all other hybrids imprisoned.

Same here. Part of the reason I wanted to make these characters was to focus on people other than the heroes and villains.
