Description
In Venture Bay, there is a team of humans and dog emergency respondents called the P.A.W. Patrol (Predicament Assisting Worker). No matter what emergency occurs, the PAW Patrol will deploy to save civilians and stop emergencies. Even with a corrupt mayor, Humphrey Humdinger, trying at every turn to undermine their efforts, the patrol is always there to save the day, at least until they weren't. A freak storm came out of nowhere one day and while the patrol was out saving everyone, they were swept up by the winds and by the storm's end, they were nowhere to be seen. Owen Ryder, Cruz (Police/Spy), King (Firefighter), Aurora (Air Rescue), Sprocket (Recycling and Repair), Rex (Construction) and Habun (Aquatic Rescue) were declared missing, having left behind their families.

3 months later, Owen's son Will goes to the Lookout Tower where Paw Patrol operated and found King, Aurora, Sprocket, and Habun's pups Marshall, Skye, Rocky, and Zuma. Missing their parents and knowing that Venture Bay needs a Paw Patrol to save it right then and there, they formed a new patrol team with Will (going by Ryder) as the leader and the pups taking over their parents' roles with only the Police/Spy and Construction roles not taken yet.

Meanwhile in Venture City, there was a pup by the name of Chase who lived on the streets. He never knew what happened to his parents as the last memory he had of them was taking him to the park and they were suddenly gone. Chase went from adoptive home to adoptive home until he just quit trying and started living on the streets. Learning to survive in the big city meant doing many illegal things to survive, like stealing. This caught the attention of the Venture City K9 unit who were pursuing Chase to arrest him. Chase managed to shake them for the moment being but they would eventually find him, so Chase jumped onto a truck to find a new home and ended up in Venture Bay. While there, Chase found the town to be more friendly than the big city. Chase even accidentally helped the Paw Patrol capture some criminals on more than one occasion. Ryder would eventually spark a friendship with Chase and find out about him living from place to place around town. Ryder offered Chase a room at his house, but Chase was a little too proud to accept the offer. Not willing to give up on helping Chase, Ryder tried a different tactic and pulled out a camping tent and set up a little campsite for Chase in the Ryder household's backyard and the pup accepted the new home made for him. Chase also got along very well with the other Paw Patrol members (especially Skye and Marshall) and his previously seen skills made him a good fit for the Police/Spy role on the team. Despite being hesitant about the role with his past criminal history, Chase accepted and became a true Paw Patrol member.
